We're proud to offer a supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. **Job Summary** As a Customer Service Professional, you'll play a critical role in providing exceptional service to our policyholders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries. You'll be responsible for explaining benefit coverage, documenting, and investigating complaints. This is a remote role, and you'll work from the comfort of your own home, with the flexibility to work either a morning or afternoon shift. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide information to policyholders, parents, spouses, and beneficiaries regarding their SGLI coverage and benefits * Receive, evaluate, and answer customer inquiries, which may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures * Use our computerized system to track, gather information, provide information, referrals, routine transactions, and troubleshoot issues * Answer product, account, policy, and service inquiries, resolve problems, and promote products and services through verbal and written communication * Assess customer needs and suggest alternative products or services to meet their needs * Handle most calls and transactions independently, escalating calls properly when necessary * Demonstrate practical assimilation of Prudential's Leadership Competencies **Qualifications** * 1-3 years of directly related customer service experience and well-developed transaction processing experience * College degree or equivalent business/military experience preferred * Strong people skills with the ability to think like the customer * A passion for delivering top-quality service * Proven record of dependability, punctuality, and reliable attendance * Ability to learn and retain a significant amount of technical information in a relatively short period * Receptivity to detailed performance feedback * Proficiency with a keyboard and window-based applications, including the Internet * Proven self-motivation skills * Active listening skills * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to excel in a team environment, as well as work well independently * Excellent organization and prioritization skills **Training and Support** * Training will typically take place between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday * You'll have the flexibility to work either a morning or afternoon shift, with actual shift assignments determined after hire * Overtime may be mandatory during peak times **Remote Work Requirements** * You must be able to work from home with a reliable internet connection (at least 25 Mbps download speeds) * You'll need to use a USB wired headset with a noise cancellation feature * You must have the capability to handle calls with a cell phone (with unlimited data and minutes) or a landline * You'll need a quiet area in your home with minimal distractions and noise **What We Offer** * Market-competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level * Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), and leave of absences, such as parental and military leave * Retirement plans: 401(k) plan with company match (up to 4%) * Work/Life Resources to support topics such as parenting, housing, senior care, finances, pets, legal matters, education, emotional and mental health, and career development * Tuition Assistance to help finance traditional college enrollment toward obtaining an approved degree, many accredited certificate programs, and industry designations **Why Join Prudential?** * Take charge of your career with our powerful learning, gigs, and job opportunities * Enjoy a global organization with outstandingly dedicated people who think differently, challenge the status quo, and take sensible risks * Have access to leadership and learning opportunities and the resources needed to take your career in any direction * Work in a flexible environment that delivers on our Purpose and values diversity, equity, and inclusion **Equal Opportunity Employer** Prudential is an equal opportunity employer.
