Job Overview: Customer Service Trainee We are seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Customer Service Trainees. This 100% remote role offers the flexibility and autonomy to work from anywhere, with a hybrid training schedule that includes both on-site and remote components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in customer service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: • Research and respond to customer inquiries via telephone, written communication, or other channels, utilizing proper etiquette, grammar, and punctuation. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date departmental records and files, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies. • Operate office equipment, including personal computers, calculators, copiers, and fax machines, to perform job duties efficiently. • Make corrections to claims and eligibility, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. • Enter new claims, eligibility, and subscriber information into the mainframe system, adhering to company protocols and procedures. • Review subscriber coverage to determine type and level of benefits, providing accurate and informative responses to customer inquiries. Essential Qualifications: To be considered for this role, candidates must possess: • A high school diploma or equivalent. • At least one year of customer service experience in a business environment, preferably in a call center or dental setting, with proficiency in using computer programs to assist customers. • Successful completion of the customer service simulation test (minimum score of 62 out of a possible 100), unless previously passed while at Delta Dental or in a similar role. • Availability to work flexible hours, including the ability to begin work at 8:25 a.m. or work until 6:30 p.m. (first shift) or 11:00 a.m. or work until 12:00 Midnight (second shift), Monday through Friday. Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: • Prior experience in the dental insurance industry or a related field. • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions. • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, candidates should possess: • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. • Strong active listening and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on attention to detail and accuracy. • Proficiency in using technology, including computer software and hardware, to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
