Your key responsibilities will include: * Engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services * Resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience * Modeling and sharing customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Providing customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service * Recommending items for sale to customers and recommending trade-up and/or companion items * Registering customer purchases on assigned cash register, collecting cash and distributing change as requested * Processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed * Keeping counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, taking inventory, and maintaining records * Checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader * Implementing Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss * Ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) * Constructing and maintaining displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise * Completing resets and revisions as directed * Assisting with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures * Providing customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products * Assisting with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance * Complying with all company policies and procedures; maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers * Completing special assignments and other tasks as assigned **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training preferred * 6 months to 1 year of customer service experience in a retail or healthcare environment * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role: * Previous experience in a retail or healthcare environment * Knowledge of store systems and store equipment * Experience with digital passport photo service and promotional photo products * Ability to speak multiple languages * Previous experience with customer service software and systems **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time * Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills and knowledge.
