Job Overview In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and performing various sales and customer support functions. As the face of blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, and your ability to deliver outstanding service and support will be essential in building strong relationships and driving sales growth. Key Responsibilities Greet customers and provide excellent customer service, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner Operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Process customer returns and exchanges, ensuring that all transactions are handled efficiently and in accordance with blithequark's policies and procedures Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that all equipment and materials are in good working order and that the area is well-stocked and visually appealing Assist customers with product inquiries, providing recommendations and upselling products and services to maximize sales and drive revenue growth Stock shelves and ensure that products are properly displayed, maintaining a high level of merchandising standards and ensuring that all products are accurately priced and labeled Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, providing timely and effective support and resolving any issues in a fair and reasonable manner Assist with inventory management and restocking merchandise, ensuring that all products are accurately counted and recorded and that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels Essential Qualifications Previous experience in customer service or cashiering is preferred, although we are willing to train the right candidate Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English are essential, with the ability to effectively communicate and engage with customers Bilingual proficiency in another language is a plus, although not required Basic knowledge of technology products and the ability to sell wireless devices is an asset, although not essential Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is preferred, although we provide comprehensive training on our systems and procedures Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential, with the ability to provide timely and effective support to customers Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is an asset, although not required Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles is a plus, although not essential Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations and priorities Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints in a fair and reasonable manner Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, providing opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
