Job Overview In this role, you will be responsible for modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that every customer interaction is courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient. You will be the face of blithequark, providing exceptional service to our customers, answering questions, resolving issues, and making recommendations to drive sales and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Registers sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service. Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and blithequark service traits. Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, recommending items for sale and trade-up and/or companion items. Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, collects cash and distributes change as requested, processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. Keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, and maintains records, checking in and pricing merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader. Implements blithequark asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise, completing resets and revisions as directed. Assists with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures, and provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service and suggestive sell of promotional photo products. Assumes web pick-up responsibilities, monitors orders, fills orders, and delivers orders to customers as they arrive at the store. Assists with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, and complies with all blithequark policies and procedures, maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide exceptional service. You will need to be flexible, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and sales growth. High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
