Our portfolio includes 100 units across the downtown Milwaukee area and 20 units in Chicago, all of which are advertised on popular platforms like Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com. We are now seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Service and Hospitality Manager to join our team on a part-time basis, working closely with our guests and internal teams to provide an unparalleled level of service. Job Overview The Customer Service and Hospitality Manager role at blithequark is a part-time position that requires approximately 15 hours per week, working from 5 pm to 10 pm CST on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and hospitality, with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in modern technologies. Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service and Hospitality Manager at blithequark, your key responsibilities will include: Providing exceptional customer service to our guests, responding to their inquiries, and addressing any concerns in a timely and efficient manner Conducting guest screening to ensure safety and security, complying with blithequark and property partner requirements Managing all guest reservations, including booking suggestions, alterations, and cancellations Utilizing our digital communication systems to manage guest communications, including messages, emails, calls, and texts Fielding guest complaints, conducting research, and negotiating solutions to ensure guest satisfaction Troubleshooting maintenance and technology issues, lockouts, and other guest-related problems Coordinating operational needs with blithequark staff, including scheduling repairs and maintenance, and monitoring guest communications Working closely with our Field Team to schedule turnovers and other tasks Serving as a point of contact for property partner communications, managing listing marketing, and analyzing guest reviews to identify opportunities for improvement Managing social media and periodic public relations activities to promote blithequark's brand and services Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: A college diploma or equivalent in a related field At least 2 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Proficiency in modern technologies, including web browsers, apps, spreadsheets, and word documents A positive attitude and exceptional customer service presence Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving skills Reliable smartphone, computer, and high-speed wifi connection at all times Ability to respond to messages in 5 minutes or less Willingness to work at least 3 days a week, including all weekends and holidays Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in short-term rentals or the hospitality industry Knowledge of property management software and systems Experience with social media management and content creation Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with guests, staff, and property partners Proficiency in time-management and organizational tools, such as calendars and project management software Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
