Our team is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of animals and the people who care for them. **Key Responsibilities** As a Customer Sales Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for: * Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that every guest has a positive and memorable experience in our store * Offering expert advice and guidance on pet care and nutrition, helping customers to make informed decisions about their pets' health and well-being * Demonstrating a keen awareness of animal handling and welfare, adhering to best practices and ensuring the health and happiness of our live animals * Performing cashiering duties, accurately processing transactions and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area * Executing tasks that aid in achieving the store's assigned sales goals, including promoting products and services, and engaging with customers to drive sales growth * Managing stock and prices, ensuring that our store is well-stocked and that prices are accurate and up-to-date * Heeding established operational guidelines and store regulations, ensuring adherence to designated procedures and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all occupants of the store * Evaluating guest inquiries and referring them to the appropriate staff member, such as the Guest Experience Leader or the Leader on Duty * Conducting hourly animal health checks and recording their wellness, ensuring that our live animals receive the proper care and attention * Interacting with professional contacts via verbal and written communication, with an emphasis on promoting arenaflex's interests and values * Providing helpful and friendly customer service, identifying specific needs and offering product recommendations, while efficiently employing suggestive selling techniques to boost individual sales * Securing an outstanding customer experience for all Omni-channel endeavors, including Instacart, Extended Aisle, and Repeat Delivery * Performing routine tasks, such as balancing the cash register, stocking and facing merchandise, and assisting customers with carry-out service * Abiding by loss prevention regulations and supporting the store's inventory management by contributing to the loading, unloading, and stocking of merchandise * Maintaining the health and well-being of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish in the store, ensuring that their living conditions are clean, safe, and secure * Executing routine housekeeping tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, dusting, washing windows, arranging merchandise on shelves, and ensuring restrooms are clean * Assisting store management in efficiently and accurately completing all necessary paperwork during the store opening and closing period * Engaging in quarterly and annual physical inventory audits * Devoting attention to safety procedures, implementing and enforcing regulations and policies to ensure a clean and healthy environment for all occupants of the store * Executing assigned special projects as directed by the team leader **Supervisory Responsibility** This role does not have supervisory responsibility. **Work Environment** As a Customer Sales Associate at arenaflex, you will be required to spend prolonged periods on your feet, transporting merchandise and performing other physical tasks.
