Job Overview The Customer Development Manager is a critical role at arenaflex, serving as the Insights and Analytics expert supporting a Top National Customer. In this position, you will utilize your analytical and thought leadership skills to execute category strategies that align with customer priorities. Your expertise in analyzing data, identifying opportunities, and making recommendations will drive category and customer growth, making you an invaluable asset to our team. Primary Responsibilities Manage data sources to monitor the field execution of vendor programs and assortments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Communicate complex and detailed information to multiple individuals and audiences with varying knowledge levels, adapting your approach to ensure effective understanding and engagement. Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry, providing effective information to deliver sales, margin, and market development goals that drive business success. Analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions, driving improvement of results and finding innovative solutions to complex problems. Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share, using data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize outcomes. Develop, communicate, execute, and monitor specific performance metrics and goals relevant to each business, ensuring alignment with customer priorities and arenaflex objectives. Create and deliver effective reports using POS data, Syndicated Data, and account-specific database information, presenting findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner. Evaluate and make recommendations on supplier performance to enhance the company's inventory and fill rate objectives, ensuring superior client satisfaction and contributing to team problem-solving efforts. Understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data to deliver category growth and drive business expansion. Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, performing other job-related duties as assigned and demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to excellence. Minimum Qualifications To be considered for this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's Degree and experience within the CPG sector, with a preference for Adult Beverage experience and a value-added understanding of Costco operations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills, with the ability to incorporate and interpret data from multiple unrelated sources into concise, action-oriented recommendations. Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations, with expertise in category management principles, syndicated data, and shopper/consumer insights (Numerator/Spectra, etc.). Ability to collaborate with external retail customers, key suppliers, and internal teams to deliver insights and recommendations, demonstrating assertive leadership and decision-making skills with an aptitude for understanding changing market dynamics and resolving complex problems. Preferred experience working with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI), Internal Shipment Data, and Household Panel, with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Strong leadership, decision-making capability, and a proven track record of success, with a commitment to continuous learning, growth, and professional development. Physical Demands The physical demands of this role include: Sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer for a considerable amount of time. Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping. Critical nature of this job may require extended hours, overtime, and weekends. May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
