Job Overview: Customer Care Specialist We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Care Specialist to join our team. As a Customer Care Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional support and resolving issues related to billing and technical support. This is a critical role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and customer service acumen. Key Responsibilities: Respond to inbound service calls, specializing in billing and technical support, and own the customer interaction from start to resolution. Process payments, educate customers on their billing cycle, payment due dates, and the impact of non-pay status, and provide information on general charges to their account based on package and prorations. Proactively review customer accounts and educate customers on additional service options to enhance their experience and increase customer satisfaction. Provide basic and advanced troubleshooting support for Bluepeak video, phone, and internet products to resolve customer issues efficiently and effectively. Escalate customer issues that may be indicative of larger network issues to ensure prompt resolution and minimize downtime. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the team and contribute to the company's mission. Essential Qualifications: At least one year of customer service experience, with prior call center experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and solve practical issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening skills and telephone etiquette. Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism in challenging and/or changing situations. Must be able to pass a background and drug test prior to employment. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a technical support or billing role, with knowledge of fiber-rich internet connections and related products. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention. Strong technical skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication. These include: Technical skills: Knowledge of fiber-rich internet connections, video, phone, and internet products, and basic and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
