Your primary objectives will include: Providing exceptional service on inbound calls in a fast-paced, organized customer care environment, following our Client First philosophy Engaging with card members to understand their needs and designing tailored solutions to meet their expectations, promoting the benefits of card membership and offering relevant product offers that drive client engagement and measurable value Continuously enhancing key selling skills, including building rapport, understanding client needs, resolving complaints, and closing deals Addressing general and account-specific client inquiries, providing clear and concise information, and updating client account information as needed Utilizing tools and resources to identify customized solutions and anticipate client needs, in line with our commitment to keep in touch goals Meeting and exceeding performance objectives, including client survey results, sales rates, quality targets, compliance standards, and productivity goals Key Responsibilities As a Customer Care Professional, your key responsibilities will include: Assisting with moving your team and its colleagues to progress Delivering exceptional service on inbound calls in a fast-paced, organized customer care environment Communicating with card members to understand their needs and designing tailored solutions Continuously enhancing key selling skills, including building rapport, understanding client needs, resolving complaints, and closing deals Addressing general and account-specific client inquiries Utilizing tools and resources to identify customized solutions and anticipate client needs Meeting and exceeding performance objectives Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A bachelor's degree in any field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience in a customer support and consultative sales environment Proven track record of building client loyalty through exceptional listening, consultative relationship building, and strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage sensitive card member information and comply with all Regulatory and Compliance rules related to handling and sales practices Enthusiasm for consultative sales, recommending products or solutions tailored to each client Strong resilience to efficiently manage a constant flow of client calls, while balancing performance to meet multiple metrics Ability to adapt communication style to a wide variety of personalities and circumstances Commitment to executing feedback as a means to achieving individual and team performance goals Technical proficiency to multitask and navigate through computer systems and applications with speed and accuracy Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to working on time and adhering to your schedule every day Preferred Qualifications We prefer candidates with: A four-year college degree Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent time management and organizational skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At American Express, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
