Key Responsibilities Tag and categorize content to ensure accurate and comprehensive metadata Enter data into our systems, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure seamless integration of metadata into our systems Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, making recommendations for improvements to our metadata processes Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure high-quality metadata and resolve any issues that may arise About the Engineering Team Constructing Open Connect required the effort of a truly global team representing a diverse set of competencies, backgrounds, cultures, and personalities. We are looking to add to the engineering group responsible for building the Open Connect control plane, which includes: Cloud microservices that customers directly interact with after they press ‘play’ Systems for making live streaming work successfully and with resilience Services that are critical to making cloud video games work Load-balancing algorithms for optimizing hardware utilization Our Approach to Engineering We spend our time seeking to answer questions like these: How will we design our systems to react to failure, internet traffic shifts, and other changes in real-time? How do we steer traffic for live shipping over the backbone? How will we quality-ensure the most popular content so that we can improve the consumer experience? What is the gold standard way to percent petabytes of content into our machines to optimize their throughput? How should we design our streaming hardware given customer behavior? How do we choose the best server for every cloud game session?
