About the Role We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Insurance Specialist I to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our insurance services team, you will be responsible for writing new business and servicing existing clients, managing multiple tasks, and gathering and communicating technical information related to insurance. You will maintain a professional working relationship with internal customers and external clients, providing exceptional customer service and driving revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Manage the assigned book of renewal business and create new business to drive revenue growth Obtain underwriting information, prepare applications and specifications for renewal and new business Qualify and analyze client's coverage needs, loss exposure, and recommend appropriate insurance solutions Inform clients about policy inclusions, limitations, and exclusions Secure all placement subjectivities by obtaining signed documentation and collecting premiums Provide renewal quotes and account rounding opportunities, communicate coverage terms and conditions of quotes to clients Engage in daily virtual client interaction through impactful communication across phone, webinars, emails, PowerPoint, and other channels Educate and consult prospects on coverages that are available and appropriate for their business Review existing policies and endorsements, request changes to the renewal underwriter for approval Prepare schedules of insurance, D. cards, binders, certificates of insurance, issue finance agreements Return phone calls and respond to e-mails in a timely manner, follow up on policy audits related to worker's compensation, general liability, etc. Maintain accounts in Client Portal (Insurlink), set status to active/inactive and send invites to access portal to clients Maintain contact with the client base throughout the year per frequency set by management Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of customer service experience in the insurance industry Valid Property and Casualty License (P&C) and provide a copy for verification Prior position as an Associate Customer Service Representative or similar role Ability to read policies and break down complex information into simple terms An understanding of the appropriate markets and their relative business models Possess a sense of urgency and ownership when dealing with clients and prospects Ability to actively listen, give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times Attention to accuracy and detail in processing client information and policies Preferred Qualifications Ability to differentiate between agency bill clients and direct bill clients and the servicing needs of each Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and act with a sense of urgency Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and concisely, both orally and in writing Excellent time management, planning, and organization skills Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Good knowledge of company products and solutions Embrace change with the willingness to continue learning and developing new skills Collaborate, cooperate, and share knowledge with working teams Strong work ethic and flexible to work within the designated work schedule as business needs change (i.e., late night, weekends, holidays, etc.) Knowledge of how to use Agency Management System, experience with AMS360 Strong data entry skills with accuracy and ability to navigate among multiple systems Proficient in Windows-based computer applications (Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and Outlook) and internal systems such as arenaflex Tracker, Pipeline Manager, Benefit Point, ImageRight Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for professional growth and development.
