Job Overview and Key Responsibilities As a Co-op Operations and Customer Center professional at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in supporting our operational hub, responsible for strategic and tactical decision-making in the event of operational disruptions. You will collaborate with experienced aviation professionals, utilizing data to solve complex operational business challenges and drive continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities will include: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement operational strategies and solutions Utilizing data analysis and problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement and optimize operational efficiency Supporting the development of applications and efficiencies to reduce workload for frontline teams Contributing to the creation of sustainability policies and strategies for annual jet fuel consumption Researching and developing methods to determine safe and efficient fuel loads, improve aircraft routing, and enhance cargo forecasting Co-op Assignments As a Co-op Operations and Customer Center professional, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and assignments, including: Load Control Center: responsible for aircraft weight and balance, fuel distribution, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer and company specifications Fuel System: responsible for developing strategies, tools, and sustainability policies for annual jet fuel consumption Requirements to Succeed To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following minimum qualifications: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related 4-year degree program Available to work for three alternating semesters, Monday through Friday Must be enrolled in an educational institution throughout the co-op program Willingness and ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges Team-first attitude with a focus on team success Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint Comfortable working in both group and individual settings Prioritizes safety and security for oneself and others Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles Must have a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Familiarity or experience with SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint Understanding of airline operations, scheduling, and planning History of leadership roles in student and community organizations Passionate about a future career in the aviation industry and serving arenaflex's customers Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical, business, and interpersonal skills, including: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
