As a damage recovery expert, we are not an insurance agency, but rather a specialized service provider that helps businesses recover from unexpected losses. **About the Role** As an Experienced Claims Processing Agent – Data Entry and Insurance Recovery Specialist, you will be responsible for administering the initial claims process, including data entry, billing, payment demand creation, and inbound/outbound calls for insurance verification. You will work closely with our Claim Processing Operations Manager to ensure that all claims are processed efficiently and effectively. **Key Responsibilities** * Maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers by returning phone calls and acknowledging correspondence in an appropriate timeframe. * Effectively and accurately enter data on all new claim submissions to our company database system and provide confirmation to clients of claim receipt as needed. * Review and investigate documentation on facts of loss, collection potential, and other relevant information. * Communicate with clients for additional documentation upon receipt of new claims. * Verify accident details with various reporting agencies, obtain police reports, and conduct skip tracing as needed. * Conduct initial calls to report claims to insurance companies and confirm coverage, as well as contact involved parties to confirm damages and verify insurance policy information. * Document clearly and concisely all relevant activity on all files and make recommendations for additional activity as appropriate. * Communicate and escalate claims with a high degree of difficulty to the Operations Supervisor. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. **Essential Qualifications and Skills** * Minimum of 1 year of experience in data entry, billing, insurance claims, or accounts receivable. * Effective verbal and written communication skills. * Proficient in data entry skills and/or typing skills. * General office skills, computer proficiency, and basic math. * Ability to effectively manage own time and coordinate various tasks simultaneously. * Active listening skills. * Be well organized and detailed oriented. * Demonstrate professionalism and have a positive and friendly attitude. * Ability to remain calm and professional when speaking with difficult callers. * Critical thinking and ability to use logic and reasoning to identify approaches and solutions to problems. **Preferred Qualifications and Skills** * Minimum of 1 year of experience in Salesforce. * Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. * Knowledge of insurance claims processing and recovery. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. **Work Environment and Company Culture** As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home.
