We are now seeking a dedicated and skilled Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in Gresham, OR. Job Overview As a Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a vital role in our multidisciplinary team, working closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide personalized ABA Therapy to children with Autism bolthires Disorder (ASD). Your primary responsibilities will include delivering direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing intensive teaching and natural environment training methods. You will follow individualized treatment plans designed by BCBAs, collect and record data on client behavior, and assist in parent and caregiver training. Your work will be instrumental in helping our clients achieve significant developmental milestones, including improved language and communication skills, social skills, and school readiness behaviors. Key Responsibilities Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings, utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training. Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as outlined in each client’s individualized treatment plan built by BCBA/BC. Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with the client’s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols. Ensure all documentation is completed on time and in accordance with established procedures. Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress, as instructed by BCBA/BC. Utilize safe and appropriate procedures when working with clients and report all critical incidents and safety concerns promptly. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment, adhering to health and safety standards. Assist BCBAs/BCs in the preparation of client materials, behavior reduction assessments, and skills acquisition plans. Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements: Hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or be willing to complete a 40-hour training course and sit for the RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment. Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Reliable transportation, and in some cases, proof of driver’s license and valid car insurance. Be at least 18 years of age. Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, along with a TB test if not done in the past year. Physical ability to perform the job, including getting down on the floor, standing up many times, lifting up to 50lbs, and the ability to run/move quickly if required for client interaction and safety. Reliability and punctuality for scheduled therapy appointments. Professional presentation and conduct at all times. Patience and the ability to keep clients on task. Emotional control, even in challenging situations. A positive attitude and drive to help children acquire new skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform repetitive tasks precisely. Ability to follow and carry out detailed instructions. Strong understanding of technology to record data on a mobile device and navigate digital applications. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong cultural competency with the ability to remain flexible and open-minded. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following experiences and skills are highly valued: Experience working as a Behavioral Technician, or in roles involving children with autism or other learning disabilities. Background as a Teacher’s Aid, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide.
