Key Responsibilities Pay and keep accurate records of all invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments to carriers Analyze accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracy and identify areas for improvement Collaborate with co-workers to resolve complex payable issues and provide solutions to accounting irregularities Manage aging reports to ensure items are cleared and handled accordingly, and track discrepancies to ensure corrections are completed timely Maintain precise records of all carrier payments, research and approve new carriers, and create new carrier accounts Process payments via check/ACH in a timely manner, and request banking information from new carriers Reconcile carrier statements and/or individual carrier invoices, and research discrepancies to determine corrective action Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable, with working knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable principles Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in data input Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with accounting software and systems, such as ERP systems Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements Certifications in accounting or finance, such as CPA or CMA Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and identify solutions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders Attention to detail and accuracy in data input, with ability to maintain precise records Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At MMA, we're committed to creating a workplace that promotes colleague well-being, professional growth, and community involvement.
