You will utilize pharmacy systems to acquire patient and medication information, investigate missing prescription data, and interpret clinical abbreviations. Your duties may vary depending on the assigned division, but your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring seamless operations. Key Responsibilities Process new patient enrollments by entering data into the appropriate system, utilizing Walgreens' prescription data entry procedures and guidelines. Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing. Investigate to acquire missing prescription data and interpret clinical abbreviations (SIG codes). Resolve all data entry-related exceptions and communicate with patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders as needed. Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients to resolve issues, obtain information, or gain override approval. Provide support to pharmacists, both in the office and at other locations, and escalate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree in a related field. Basic level computer skills, including starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse, and navigating programs. Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing in URLs, using a search engine, and completing online forms. Transitional level keyboarding skills, with a minimum of 25 words per minute (WPM) and the ability to type by memory. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment. Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services and assessing customer satisfaction. Moderate to advanced level keyboarding skills, with a minimum of 35 WPM and the ability to type by memory. Fluency in Spanish and English.
