Role Overview and Responsibilities As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule. You will be working with students of various ages and subjects, including but not limited to, Kinder, Early Years, Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, High, SpEd, and Special Ed. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering high-quality lessons to students in the absence of the regular teacher Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students Managing classroom behavior and ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment Communicating effectively with students, teachers, and school administrators Being flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and school needs Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications and requirements: Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits Three professional references with one by a previous direct supervisor NJ Substitute Credential Background check & TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this!)
