We are urgently seeking an experienced and compassionate Homebound Tutor to join our team in the USA. As a Homebound Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing instruction to students in their homes, helping them to stay on track with their academic goals and prepare for a successful return to the classroom. Quick Overview of the Position Compensation: A competitive salary of $40 per hour Start Date: Immediate openings available Location: Remote, with travel to students' homes required Company: Workwarp, in partnership with the DuPage Regional Office of Education Position: Homebound Tutor, with a focus on Special Education and Early Childhood Endorsements About the Homebound Services Program The Homebound Services program is designed to provide academic support to students who are unable to attend school due to a medical condition. Our program is tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, with the goal of ensuring they receive a high-quality education and are prepared to return to the classroom upon recovery. As a Homebound Tutor, you will be responsible for providing instruction to students in their homes, working closely with parents and caregivers to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities and Duties Ability to work flexible hours, Monday-Friday, when school is in session Travel to students' homes to provide instruction and support Coordinate and collaborate with students, parents, and caregivers to schedule sessions and ensure a smooth learning experience Collaborate with colleagues regarding student assignments and progress Teach prescribed academic coursework in students' homes, with a parent or caregiver present Communicate with students' teachers about progress and/or assignment completion Maintain accurate records on students' progress and development Other duties as assigned, with a focus on providing exceptional support to students and families Essential Qualifications and Requirements Valid Professional Educators Teaching License with endorsements in Special Education (LBSI, if assignment requires it) Early Childhood Endorsement preferred, but not required Ability to communicate effectively and accurately, both orally and in writing, in English Flexibility in working with students who have medical issues and diverse learning needs Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Preferred Qualifications and Skills Experience working with students who have special needs or medical conditions Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation, with a focus on meeting the individual needs of each student Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and caregivers Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and support Familiarity with technology and digital tools, with the ability to integrate these into instruction and support Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our team members.
