As an Analytics Engineer 6, you'll be at the heart of this operation, working alongside talented Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers to create metrics, perform analysis, and develop the tools and data products that inform our infrastructure decisions. Key Responsibilities: Driving Innovation in Content Delivery Motivate and Prioritize System Development: Drive the development of systems that align data collection, analysis, and experimentation across Open Connect, AWS, and client streaming delivery systems. Unlock Insights: Understand the impactful role of data, analytics, experimentation, and algorithms in innovative uses of content delivery infrastructure. Align Resources: Help align data science and engineering resources against the most critical problems in this space. Mentorship and Guidance: Identify opportunities to provide technical guidance and mentorship to teammates, fostering growth and expertise. Translate Insights into Action: Translate valuable insights and data from this domain into initiatives across the business, driving broader impact. The Ideal Candidate: Skills and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Passion for Data Science and Engineering: A passion to combine deep expertise in data science and engineering with a detailed understanding of distributed systems engineering and networking. Advanced Training: Advanced training in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Economics, etc.) or commensurate work experience. Technical Skills: Fluency in SQL, workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, and at least one analytics and scripting language like Python. Experience with Complex Pipelines: Experience prototyping pipelines of moderate complexity on massive data sets, with the ability to partner effectively with data engineering teams. Strong Relationships: Experience in building strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues to tackle big, cross-functional problems. Preferred Qualifications: Communication Skills: The demonstrated ability to communicate technical and analytical concepts clearly and concisely among diverse audiences. Technical Community Building: The interest to build and foster technical communities internally and externally. Adaptability and Ambiguity: Comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to thrive with minimal oversight and process.
