How You'll Contribute to Our Success As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. This is an entry-level position that offers tremendous opportunities for growth and development, with our leaders providing mentorship and support to help you advance your career. Your daily tasks will include safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, as well as guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions to ensure timely connections. Safeguard cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather. Safely drive and operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion. Operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination. Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve operational goals and provide exceptional customer service. Work Schedule and Environment As a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you can expect to work a variety of shifts, including early morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts, with schedules based on operational needs. You will typically work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. Our airport environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow, and to wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety and the safety of others. Compensation and Benefits At blithequark, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package to our employees, including: A starting pay rate of $21.85 per hour, with regular pay increases through 10.5 years. What You Need to Succeed To be successful as a Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will need to possess the following minimum qualifications: A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States. A valid driver's license. Proficiency in English. Ability to pass a physical ability test (PAT) and wear required company-approved PPE. Ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
