How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing As a Ramp Agent and Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. This is an entry-level position that offers opportunities for career advancement and professional growth. Your daily tasks will include safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, as well as guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions. Key Responsibilities Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, in addition to being responsible for timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions. Safeguard cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather. Safely drive and operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in areas of congestion. Operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination. Scheduling and Work Environment Scheduling is based on operational needs, and shifts can range from early morning to overnight. You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week, depending on your seniority. Our work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, and you will be required to work in harsh weather conditions, including heat, rain, and snow. We prioritize safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures, and you will be required to wear company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Consistently prioritize the safety and security of yourself, others, and personal data. Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States. Have a valid driver's license. Be proficient in English. Pass a physical ability test (PAT). Be able to wear required company-approved PPE, including hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear, and high visibility safety apparel. Ability to hold airport-specific requirements, such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
