Job Synopsis The Agency Sales Manager is a knowledgeable authority for corporate travel management services at blithequark. As a singular advocate, this role exercises significant judgment to make decisions that drive consistent revenue, utilizing aspects of our organization and corporate client relationships. This position is responsible for building key business relationships with Travel Management Company (TMC) accounts focused on business travel value propositions for blithequark. Key Responsibilities Act as an informed authority for TMC business for blithequark, providing expertise and guidance on corporate travel management services. Build key business relationships with TMC accounts focused on business travel value propositions for blithequark, utilizing industry knowledge and market trends to drive revenue growth. With minimal direction from authority, exercise extensive judgment to manage the pricing, cost analysis, and negotiations of all TMC agreements, aiming to achieve the highest market share and yield possible in individual markets. Collaborate with legal and risk management teams to develop contract-compliant agreements that meet the needs of blithequark and its clients. Analyze revenue, margins, and contract performance to ensure objective compliance and profitability, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize results. Develop marketing-related initiatives to support sales efforts, working closely with marketing and business development teams to drive revenue growth and expand blithequark's presence in the market. Manage the setup of TMC agency accounts through sales calls, negotiating agreements, and coordinating with pricing teams to ensure seamless implementation and maximum revenue potential. Plan business growth and lead development of other agency accounts through collaboration with revenue management teams, ensuring that exceptional entries are filed accordingly and driving expected revenue per the specifications of the agreement. Monitor reporting and metrics to identify trends and develop a strategy to ensure that blithequark is positioned suitably in the market, staying ahead of competitors and capitalizing on emerging opportunities. Effectively manage and negotiate time and resources, maximizing revenue opportunities at the most cost-effective rate for blithequark, and ensuring that all activities are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives. Essential Qualifications 2 years of experience in outside sales, with a focus in the retail service environment or related area, preferably in the airline or travel industry. Bachelor's degree, or two additional years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree, demonstrating a strong foundation in business, marketing, or a related field. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems. High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong academic record and a demonstrated ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Must be authorized to work in the U.S., with a valid passport and the ability to travel as required. Preferred Qualifications Prior airline experience, with a deep understanding of the airline industry and its unique challenges and opportunities. Prior exposure to and usage of travel industry data reporting sources like Curve and Crystal, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets. Proficiency with CRM tool Salesforce, with experience using sales management software to track leads, manage accounts, and drive revenue growth. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive results to the greatest advantage of blithequark, and build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with different teams and workgroups, with a strong focus on communication, teamwork, and mutual support. Solid organizational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to conflicts caused by competing needs, and prioritize tasks and activities to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
