About the Role As an Aetna Service Associate, you will be the primary point of contact for members seeking support and guidance on Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Worklife services. Your role will be critical in ensuring that our members receive the help they need to navigate life's challenges, from finding childcare and eldercare to managing stress and more. You'll work in a fast-paced, remote environment, utilizing your excellent communication skills and ability to empathize with members to provide top-notch support. Key Responsibilities Respond to member inquiries in a professional and timely manner, assessing their needs and providing relevant EAP/Worklife services and resources. Recognize emergency situations and take appropriate action to minimize risk. Conduct research using internal databases and online resources to identify suitable providers and assets. Document member interactions and case details accurately and thoroughly in our EAP system. Collaborate with colleagues to address member requests and concerns, ensuring seamless support. Utilize Aetna databases to navigate and identify approved member resources. Make outbound calls as needed to facilitate member support and resource connection. Assist with administrative tasks, including printing and fulfillment needs, and provide general support as assigned. Maintain the confidentiality of member information and adhere to company policies and EAP/Worklife guidelines. Ensure accurate and complete internal documentation meets risk management and regulatory requirements. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. At least 3 years of experience in a call center environment, preferably in a social, mental, or human services field providing client support. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with members and provide personalized support. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations. Reliable, high-speed internet access (minimum 25mbps/3mbps) with a wired Ethernet connection. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy: Experience working in the healthcare industry or with EAP/Worklife services.
