The Role: Adjunct Faculty for TEC 616 / 660 Student Teaching I We are looking for an experienced Adjunct Faculty member to teach TEC 616 / 660 Student Teaching I, a course that focuses on applying methodological principles and teaching practices in elementary or secondary classrooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teacher education and a passion for mentoring the next generation of educators. Key Responsibilities: Teach TEC 616 / 660 Student Teaching I in a remote learning format during the Summer semester of 2023. Guide students in applying methodological principles and teaching practices in elementary or secondary classrooms. Facilitate classroom observation, unit preparation, and instructional delivery. Lead a weekly online seminar to support student learning and reflection. Provide constructive feedback and assessment to students on their teaching practices. Cultivate a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success. Essential Qualifications: An earned Master of Education degree from an accredited institution. K-12 teaching experience, with a proven track record of effective teaching practices. Relevant expertise in the field of teacher education, with a deep understanding of contemporary teaching methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching or mentoring pre-service teachers. Familiarity with diverse urban educational settings and the challenges they present.
