**Experienced Accounting Data Entry Clerk – Commercial Marketing Firm**

As a key member of our Accounting department, you will be responsible for electronic entry of data from invoices, change orders, and other documents into our database. This role will also assist with keying in batches, breaking down order pricing, and opening/sorting mail to the accounting department as needed. **Core Functions:** * Opens mail and sorts invoices, statements, checks, and purchase orders * Data entry into in-house and AS400 software * Reviews vendor statements and processes credit and debit memos if needed * Batches and codes invoices with ASI numbers and posts into the system * Breaks down pricing on orders * Answers questions from factories regarding their accounts and past due balances * Maintains records of communication with vendors * Scans all invoices and credit memos **Performance Factors:** * **Adaptability:** Shows resilience in the face of changing circumstances and shifting priorities; works well under stress and pressure and is not easily discouraged. * **Collaboration:** Works effectively with others at all levels in the organization in order to achieve meaningful results; is patient and cool-headed; communicates a willingness to consider the suggestions and ideas of others. * **Compliance:** Follows established guidelines and procedures; pays attention to details and understands the necessity for complying with regulations and following procedures or policies. * **Critical Thinking:** Examines information, facts, and data, and draws logical conclusions from available information. * **Dedication:** Sets high personal standards and places job accomplishment high on the priority list; takes the initiative regarding job functions and responsibilities; able to stick to a task or pursue a goal over the long term. **Physical Demands:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position is considered to have sedentary physical demands that require the incumbent to communicate orally, hear at a conversational level, and perform job tasks requiring the use of a telephone, fax, and computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to continuously perform keying functions, grasp and pinch to write. The employee will frequently be required to turn/twist and use fingers to manipulate office equipment. Occasionally, the employee will be required to reach out, and in rare instances, be required to bend, kneel, squat, and reach up.
