ERP Implementation Consultant, Finance (Tyler Munis)

American Operator is looking to place a Finance ERP Implementation Consultant into one of our portfolio companies. The Implementation Consultant is a revenue-generating role responsible for successfully implementing software in alignment with client workflows, systems, and business needs. This position partners closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, resolve issues, deliver training, and ensure a smooth transition to Tyler solutions. The role is remote with 25–50% travel to client sites. RESPONSIBILITIES • Analyze client business processes and document functional and technical requirements. • Configure and implement Tyler software to meet client needs and best practices. • Deliver client training and knowledge transfer sessions on-site and via webinar. • Prepare clients for software adoption, including data entry, system administration, security, and permissions. • Support data conversions, including data mapping, validation, and analysis. • Recommend process improvements and configuration options to optimize system use. • Create or customize reports to meet client requirements. • Troubleshoot client issues and collaborate with Support, Development, and QA teams to resolve them. • Develop client-facing and internal documentation (e.g., quick tips, how-to guides). • Communicate project risks, issues, or changes that may impact scope, schedule, or budget. • Serve as a liaison between clients and technical teams, translating technical concepts for non-technical users. • Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, timesheets, and expense reports. • Participate in user conferences and facilitate assigned user groups or modules. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • 2+ years of experience with business process analysis and software implementation. • Experience in government enterprise human capital management, including payroll, leave management, and personnel actions. • Ability to gather, document, and translate business and technical requirements. • Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills. • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Willingness to travel 25–50% to client sites. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Experience implementing enterprise software solutions in the public sector. • Functional expertise with Tyler Technologies products or similar ERP/HCM systems. • Experience with data conversions, reporting, and system configuration. • Proven ability to recommend and implement process improvements. • Experience delivering training in both on-site and virtual environments.
