Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer

They are seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects, working on tasks from concept through construction and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Participating in field assignments soil and rock borings, CPT soundings, geophysical testing, instrumentation installation, and construction inspections Analyzing field logs and lab data to support geotechnical design decisions Designing shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, ground improvement, embankments, cut slopes, and more Preparation of technical reports, design drawings, and specifications Familiarity with computer programs for geotechnical analyses (e.g., SLIDE, LPILE, APILE, Shaft, GRLWEAP, Mathcad) Skills BS in Civil or Geological Engineering Strong academic foundation in soil mechanics and geotechnical design principles Strong verbal and written communication skills 0-2 years of geotechnical engineering experience Participating in field assignments soil and rock borings, CPT soundings, geophysical testing, instrumentation installation, and construction inspections Analyzing field logs and lab data to support geotechnical design decisions Designing shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, ground improvement, embankments, cut slopes, and more Preparation of technical reports, design drawings, and specifications Familiarity with computer programs for geotechnical analyses (e.g., SLIDE, LPILE, APILE, Shaft, GRLWEAP, Mathcad) MS or PhD with concentration in Geotechnical Engineering Ability and willingness to visit and safely navigate construction and project sites and comply with all applicable safety codes and requirements Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future Benefits Medical Dental Vision Basic life insurance 401(k) plan The ability to purchase company stock at a discount Deferred compensation plan Executive Deferral Plan Unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) Seven paid holidays One floating holiday Caregiver leave Merit increases Performance discretionary bonus Stock Company Overview Jacobs leads the global professional services sector delivering solutions for a more connected, sustainable world.
