What You Will Be Doing • Conducting daily morning sessions that focus and prepare student-athletes for the day • Delivering individualized motivational coaching centered on academic and personal development • Running life skills workshops that incorporate narrative, self-assessment, and hands-on guidance • Overseeing afternoon sports training that cultivates resilience, collaboration, and responsibility • Monitoring student advancement and maintaining rigorous expectations for both attitude and output Basic Requirements Elite Sports Mentor key responsibilities • We seek former elite-level athletes who have competed at the pinnacle of sport — Olympians, World Champions, professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, or NHL, or NCAA Division I All-Americans • Bachelor's degree in any discipline • Documented experience applying sport as a tool for mentorship and life skills coaching • Established track record of motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional contexts • Authorization to work legally in the U.S. without visa sponsorship • Prepared to reside in or relocate to Austin, TX About Sports Academy Texas Sports Academy is Where Future Champions Excel in Academics and Athletics Traditional schools force student-athletes to choose between excelling in academics or committing to their sport. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $75 USD/hour, which equates to $150,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
