Economic Development Analyst, Indigenous and First Nations Community Services

Coast Funds is an Indigenous-led conservation finance organization that supports First Nations in achieving vibrant economies and conserving their homelands. They are seeking an Economic Development Analyst to assist in the administration and analysis of economic development projects for First Nations, ensuring alignment with the organization's wellbeing outcomes. Responsibilities Building and maintaining positive, proactive relationships with participating First Nations Guiding applicants through the funding process and assessing project eligibility Coordinating due diligence activities, including financial planning and risk assessments Conducting financial analysis and reviewing project budgets Preparing and coordinating documentation required for funding agreements and disbursements Recording, tracking, and analyzing key indicators, data, and project outcomes Supporting active projects by monitoring progress, risks, and reporting requirements Contributing to wellbeing outcomes evaluation and impact analysis Conducting research and analysis on provincial and federal economic development initiatives Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support meetings, materials, and project coordination Maintaining accurate records and correspondence in CRM systems Carrying out additional duties that support the economic development function within Coast Funds Skills Post-secondary education in commerce, business administration, economic development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and lived experience Strong financial and risk analysis skills A minimum of 1-3 years of related experience in financial analysis, project evaluation, or a similar role supporting economic development Experience conducting business or sector research and analysis Knowledge of First Nations history, culture, governance, or community contexts Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce) and database tools Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Experience managing confidential client information and file systems Benefits Flexible extended health and wellness plan Life insurance RRSP program Four weeks of paid vacation Office closure between Christmas and New Year’s as additional paid time Opportunities for travel throughout the Great Bear Rainforest, Haida Gwaii, and Vancouver Island Team bonding events and a supportive work culture And more!
