Ecommerce Manager- Retail Operations
Gaviña Coffee Company is a family-owned coffee roaster based just outside of Los Angeles with a strong heritage and passion for delivering high-quality consumer products that inspire brand loyalty. As we expand our online retail operations, we have a rare and exciting opening for a savvy, solution-based E-Commerce Manager, Retail Operations to oversee growth across the eCommerce channel. What you will do: This remote role (based preferably out of the west coast) will lead all aspects of eCommerce channel management across Amazon Vendor Central and our internal donfranciscos.com portal. This strategic role is responsible for driving operational excellence, accurate production forecasting, and profitability across all eCommerce accounts while ensuring alignment with corporate sales goals to support sustainable, profitable growth. Experience using Amazon vendor central is essential. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Direction & Channel Management • Develop and execute eCommerce strategies that align with company goals, brand strategies, and retailer objectives. • Identify opportunities for channel expansion, platform efficiency, and operational automation. • Lead new item setup and launch processes across Amazon, and donfranciscos.com. • Oversee relationships with retail partners and brand protection agencies, ensuring compliance and pricing integrity through tools such as Reason Automation and Grey Falkon. • Maintain oversight of dashboards for compliance, shortages, and pricing integrity. • Oversee and promote industry-related partnerships by attending webinars, roundtables and conferences, and communicating learnings to broader teams. Leadership & Team Oversight • Manage and mentor two direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. • Facilitate cross-functional communication between Marketing, Operations, Accounting, and IT to resolve issues efficiently. • Hold regular team meetings to review performance metrics, projects, and retailer updates. • Proactively anticipate risks and implement mitigation strategies. Forecasting & Budget Management • Develop monthly and annual production forecasts using Beacon Pro and Reason Automation, incorporating promotional activity, seasonality, and new product launches. • Partner with production and accounting teams to review variances and update rolling forecasts. • Create and manage annual budgets for all eCommerce channels. • Monitor budget vs. actual performance, investigate discrepancies, and provide actionable recommendations. Pricing, Promotions & Financial Oversight • Manage retail pricing strategy, including list price maintenance and submission of price changes for all channels. • Plan and submit promotional campaigns (coupons, digital deals, tentpole events) through Beacon Pro and retailer portals. • Monitor promotional effectiveness and report on ROI, Net PPM impact, and incremental sales. • Maintain pallet pricing, quantity configurations, and SIOC packaging opportunities with Amazon. • Oversee direct fulfillment itemization for Amazon and Walmart Marketplace. Reporting & Analytics • Maintain monthly KPI and S&OP reports, including sales, traffic, share performance, net PPM, performance anomalies, and margin analysis. • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership on pricing, assortment, and profitability. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with Operations on inventory flow, EDI issues, and fulfillment readiness for promotions. • Coordinate with Accounting on chargebacks, shortages, and reconciliations for all eCommerce Participate in industry webinars to stay current on retail and category trends. • Additional duties as required by Leadership to foster performance growth What will make YOU the best fit: We are looking for a humbler, curious, solution-driven team play with: • Strong understanding of vendor management systems, P&L drivers, and promotional funding structures. • Experience in production forecasting and financial planning for CPG brands. • Successful record in retail relationship management • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Beacon Pro, Reason Automation, and Excel. • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills with a practical management style. • Experience with direct-to-consumer (DTC) platforms. • Advanced data analytics skills. • Demonstrated success in launching new SKUs and optimizing promotional campaigns. • Adept at strategic and analytical thinking • Ability to exhibit financial acumen and forecasting abilities • Commitment to operational efficiency and process improvement • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and team building skills • Familiarity with industry budget and promotional planning • Ability to develop and coach and develop direct reports • Willingness to travel occasionally to headquarters or industry functions and trade shows Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field required. • 7+ years of eCommerce experience growing brands and managing business across Amazon, Walmart.com, and/or other retail marketplaces. • Experience with Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) helpful Why Gaviña?
