Ecommerce Copywriter

They are looking for a part-time Ecommerce Copywriter who will manage copywriting efforts across their site, ensuring SEO-optimized content and maintaining brand consistency. Responsibilities Write engaging, brand-appropriate English and French product descriptions for footwear, apparel and accessories across leading global brands Translate all content into Canadian French, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance Adhering to the cross-fascia copy style guides to maintain a consistent tone of voice Working with various departments to complete other copywriting or translating assignments such as in-store activations, marketing initiatives, paid/organic search, blogs/editorial content, FAQ and policy pages, web banners, etc Schedule and complete audits of all copy channels/elements; develop and apply practical recommendations/improvements Liaise with Merchandising and Buying departments to ensure brand and internal assets are optimized to minimize inconsistencies Work with stakeholders to develop a strong SEO informed approach to copy whilst maintaining a strong brand presence. Increasing SEO share of voice Proactively keep up with SEO trends, developing and implementing new trends Continuously develop and improve the copy workflow to better facilitate copy and content creation Provide constructive feedback, proofreading and editing across all fascia Skills Strong/proven writing skills in both English and French Previous copywriting and translation experience strongly preferred Open and receptive to constructive feedback Strong time management and organizational skills in order to meet tight deadlines for product/campaign launches Ability to work independently and adapt in fast-paced environment High attention to detail Knowledge of basic SEO Experience using Shopify Company Overview In 2021 JD Sports expanded into the Canadian market and you can now find us across British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta.
