Early Childhood Specialist
About the position The Research, Evaluation, and Development (RED) Department at HighScope Educational Research Foundation (HighScope) is seeking a collaborative, reliable, and innovative Early Childhood Specialist to support the development of curriculum, professional learning courses, and products. This position is ideal for a mid-career practitioner with extensive knowledge of the HighScope approach and curriculum, early childhood research, and best practices for adult learning. While the HighScope team often works remotely, this role requires working in-person at the HighScope campus approximately twice per month and occasional in-person meetings. Responsibilities • Develop curriculum, professional learning courses, and instructional materials. • Conduct professional learning events to pilot developed courses. • Contribute to HighScope materials and publications, such as articles, podcasts, and social media engagement. • Represent HighScope at professional conferences and at other related early childhood meetings and events, including developing and presenting at conference sessions. • Mentor and support field consultants. Requirements • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in education or related field. • Minimum of 3 years of early childhood teaching, including partnering with families. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Nice-to-haves • Master's degree in education or related field. • Experience using the HighScope approach in a care or classroom setting. • Certified HighScope Trainer. Apply tot his job
