Be the new Director, Physician Market Insights In a biotech company bonding to discover, design and develop innovative peptide-based medicines Currently, we are looking for a new Director, Physician Market Insights, who will be critical in shaping and executing the company’s insights agenda for upcoming launches in rare diseases, obesity and metabolic health. The ideal candidate will have expertise in comprehensive landscape analyses on market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities, with emphasis on the U.S. market. The role can be located anywhere in the U.S but preferred Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York corridor. Responsibilities Strategic Insights and Market Analysis • Drive Physician market insights agenda: Scope, lead, and deliver cross-functional projects across core insights functions, including market research, forecasting support, competitive intelligence, data and analytics for physician demographic. • Conduct comprehensive landscape analyses on market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities, with emphasis on the U.S. market. • Lead qualitative and quantitative research, exploring buying processes, patient journeys, segmentation studies, perceptual mapping, messaging platforms, and pricing sensitivity. • Conduct primary and secondary research, including payer research and demand studies, to support accurate forecasting and evaluate pipeline performance. Cross-Functional and Regional Collaboration • Collaborate with Product Development, Commercial, and R&D teams to integrate insights into strategic marketing and go-to-market plans. Ensure alignment across Zealand Pharma external partnerships. • Facilitate alignment meetings with regional teams to adapt insights for local market relevance and ensure shared information across the organization in a compliant manner. Stakeholder Engagement and Thought Leadership • Present strategic insights to executive leadership focusing on market entry strategies, product positioning, and competitive analysis. • Serve as a strategic thought partner to marketing and commercial teams, emphasizing the voice of the customer in decision-making. Innovation and Continuous Improvement • Identify opportunities to enhance the insights process using advanced analytics tools and digital methodologies, including AI/ML. • Recommend and implement new data sources, technologies, and analytical methods to improve insights capabilities. Examples may include AI-driven database repositories and virtual moderation using AI. Compliance and Communication • Ensure all research activities comply with industry and corporate guidelines related to compliance and standards. • Deliver clear, concise, and actionable presentations and reports to the Zealand team. • Deliver high quality ad hoc analyses to leadership that offer clear recommendations in support of brand strategy • Proactively provide actionable insights to key stakeholders for both short term resource allocation decision and long-term strategy development. Candidate profile • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, Master’s, or PhD) is preferred. • Minimum of 8- 10 years of experience in market research, insights, or strategic planning, with a focus on the pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry. • Strong expertise in market research methodologies, data analysis, and competitive intelligence. • Strong understanding of the US market but with a global mindset working across cultures and geographies • Proven track record of delivering strategic insights that have driven business growth and informed high-level decision-making. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences, including senior executives.
