Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for educational technology, distance education, and learning support services, ensuring seamless integration across online programs, video-conferencing courses, hybrid and hyflex courses, and on-ground courses. Foster faculty and student development in the effective use of educational technology, promoting innovative teaching practices and enhancing student learning outcomes. Collaborate with Deans of Instruction to align online programs and learning support services with the college's academic mission and goals. Oversee Library Services, the Center for Teaching and Learning, Instructional Support Services, and online-only programs, including College Everywhere and Germanna Global initiatives. Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in online learning, ensuring equal access to educational opportunities for all students. Manage staff and resources effectively, prioritizing tasks, setting deadlines, and ensuring successful project execution. Contribute to the development and implementation of the Academic Affairs and Student Services Master Plan, driving college-wide initiatives and strategic objectives. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum Qualifications A Doctorate in Education, Education Administration, Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university. A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in the development, implementation, and management of distance education programs (or five years with a Doctorate in any discipline). Extensive knowledge of instructional technologies, library management, and learning support theory. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to converse, present, or correspond clearly and effectively in verbal, written, or electronic form. Proven ability to work within deadlines, multi-task effectively, and manage staff. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a higher education setting, with a deep understanding of contemporary program practices and adult education. Specific knowledge of supporting software applications and experience with online instruction. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in online learning, with a passion for promoting equal access to educational opportunities. Experience in instruction, with abilities in both in-person and online teaching.
