Director of League Expansion
About the position The Director of League Expansion will play a pivotal role in expanding FCA Sports Leagues' reach by establishing and nurturing relationships with churches. This role involves promoting partnership opportunities, consulting with field staff, and ensuring a deep understanding of the FCA Sports League program to effectively support and guide potential church partners. MINISTERIAL DUTIES These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission, and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship. Lead, conduct, and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship, and living by example so they are equipped to serve others. Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement. Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Church Engagement: Initiate and maintain relationships with churches to promote partnership opportunities with FCA Sports Leagues. Conduct outreach through calls, visits, and meetings with church leaders and staff. Attend denominational conventions and church-focused conferences to newtwork and present partnership opportunities. Consultation and Support: Serve as a consultant to field staff, providing guidance on church partnership opportunities they identify. Meet with church staff to answer questions and provide detailed information about the FCA Sports League program. Offer ongoing support and resources to church partners to ensure successful collaboration. In partnership with the Regional Director of Sport, this role helps drive the execution and expansion of leagues across the region, offering guidance, resources, and operational support to foster growth and sustainability. Program Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the FCA Sports League program to effectively communicate its benefits and opportunities to potential church partners. Stay updated on program developments and best practices to provide accurate and relevant information. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement strategies for expanding church partnerships. Stay Monitor the effectiveness of partnership intitiatives and make recommendations for improvement. Qualifications This is a fully remote position and involves moderate travel as needed to advance church partnerships and other league advancement opportunities. Candidates must reside in the United States and be available for meetings and collaboration during Central Time business hours. Reliable high-speed internet, a professional home office environment, and strong communication skills are essential. Occasional travel for events, team meetings, or training may also be required. Requirements • Proven experience in church relations, partnership development, or a similar role. • Strong understanding of church dynamics and the ability to navigate various denominational structures. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to travel frequently to meet with church leaders and attend conferences. • Passion for sports and a commitment to the mission of FCA Sport Leagues. • Candidates must reside in the United States and be available for meetings and collaboration during Central Time business hours. • Reliable high-speed internet, a professional home office environment, and strong communication skills are essential. Nice-to-haves • Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g., Theology, Sports Management, Business Administration). • Experience working with sports programs or ministries. • Knowledge of FCA Sports League Programs and initiatives. • Previous experience in a leadership or advisory role within a church or Christian organization.
