About the Role: Director Assistant - Production Management & Engineering We are seeking an exceptional Director Assistant to support our Senior Vice President of Production Management & Engineering (PM&E). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our portfolio by providing strategic, analytic, and communications support. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: • Serve as the central point of contact for urgent business issues, initiatives, and informational requests for the Senior Vice President of PM&E. • Develop comprehensive communications and presentations for key business reviews with senior management. • Provide strategic support on complex issues and projects, and drive forward distinct elements of key projects on behalf of the SVP. • Lead goal setting and measurement processes for the team, and manage business planning and operational processes driven through the SVP's office. • Support ad-hoc special projects, and coordinate office administration to ensure seamless delivery of Technology and American Express's informational requests. • Lead employee HR processes, including employee engagement, talent assessments, and the PMP process, and liaise with HR partners. • Coordinate and facilitate leadership meetings, and seek out and implement best practices and industry trends to increase organizational efficiency and quality. • Actively seek formal and informal feedback from employees to ensure maximum employee engagement and improvement towards leadership effectiveness. • Maintain awareness of the overall departmental budgeting and forecasting process, and create strong working relationships across the group and business partner groups. Essential Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a unique blend of analytical, strategic, and consultative skills. The ideal candidate will have: • Extensive experience in project management and change management, with the ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities with time-sensitive deadlines in a complex, fast-paced environment. • Exceptional qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of identifying issues, structuring problems, and developing recommendations. • Exemplary interpersonal skills, with a consistent record of building, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with senior management at all levels within the organization. • A highly motivated and self-directed work style, with excellent organizational skills and careful attention to detail. • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, including strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel. • A strong executive presence, with the ability to exercise utmost discretion when handling confidential matters. Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable: • Experience working in a technology or engineering organization, with a strong understanding of technical concepts and trends. • Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices. • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI. • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in production management and engineering.
