Direct Marketing Manager

About the position As the Direct Mail and Email Marketing Lead, you will drive customer retention and engagement by leading the planning and execution of direct mail and email campaigns. You will serve as the channel expert, using data and customer insights to shape marketing initiatives that support broader business goals. This individual contributor role requires a proactive, self-starter who can independently lead initiatives while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities • Develop and execute comprehensive direct mail and email strategies that align with business goals and customer needs. • Proactively identify opportunities using data, segmentation, and behavioral insights to guide targeting, personalization, frequency and content strategies. • Lead channel testing initiatives by partnering with stakeholders to define test objectives, execution plans, and success criteria. • Analyze campaign performance and translate insights into actionable recommendations for continuous improvement. • Partner closely with creative, analytics, and marketing teams to ensure integrated, customer-centric campaigns. • Collaborate with direct mail production and email operations teams to ensure flawless campaign execution. • Represent and advocate for the direct mail and email channels in meetings across varying group sizes and organizational levels. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience. • 4+ years of experience in direct mail, email marketing, or lifecycle marketing. • Demonstrated ability to independently lead and execute projects as a self-starter. • Proven ability to plan, execute, and optimize multichannel campaigns. • Strong data analysis skills with experience interpreting performance metrics. • Exceptional organizational and project management skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience with marketing automation platforms and personalization tools. • Familiarity with audience segmentation strategies and customer journey development. • Knowledge of emerging marketing technologies and trends in direct mail and email.
