The Enterprise Digital Member Experiences team is responsible for deepening Card Member engagement through their digital experiences, with a primary focus on Membership mobile app, web, commerce and push channels. Key Responsibilities: • Dependent on background and interest, this role will take on either a design track or a design operations/research track . • Research, craft, and test a project that will align with current business goals and inform in-flight initiatives • Focus on the end-to-end design process within a hierarchical company while working alongside a mentor • Learn about Amex and their process, culture, and business and gain exposure across all disciplines of design (UX Research, UX Writing, CX Insights, Mobile & Web Design, Design Operations, and Design Language Systems) • Deliver a specific, measurable, achievable, and time-related initiative in partnership with a designated mentor • Find innovative techniques and solutions to solve business problems at scale and enhance productivity Training & development At American Express, they are committed to fostering your professional growth through tailored training and development programs that empower you to excel and innovate in the dynamic world of financial services. Salary & benefits The role offers compensation ranging from $28.84 to $63.19 hourly, along with a sign-on bonus, resulting in an annual salary potential of $60,000 to $133,000. About you What you’ll bring to this role: Skills/Experience: • Highly organized, detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities • Hard-working, self-motivated, and strong willingness to learn and make an impact • Strong written and excellent verbal communication skills for sharing information, ideas and concepts • Curious and passionate about design, creating customer experiences and working with technology • Knowledge of MS Office applications required • Ability to learn quickly and work independently with complex, unstructured initiatives • Exhibit desired behaviours of thinking about the customer first, understanding concepts of ecosystems, inclusive product development, and systems design • For the design track, demonstrated skill in applying user interface design best practices and user research methodologies • Strong documentation and research skills and organizes in an efficient, productive manner; focuses on key priorities; manages time well • Ability to multi-task, work independently, and in a team environment and proactively looks to socialize and review work • Comfortable with quickly changing priorities and conditions; copes effectively with complexity and change • Resourceful, has grit, and a positive “can do” attitude Qualifications: • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program, preferably focused on Computer Science, Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction or design-related majors. • Adaptive and able to work in a fast-paced environment. • Strong relationship management and problem-solving skills. • Hard-working, self-motivated, and strong willingness to learn and make an impact . • Strong written and excellent verbal communication skills . • If interested in a design track, portfolio or samples of work that show: UX design, UI design, light UX copywriting, light systems design, light typography skills, light storytelling, and strong organization skills.
