About the position The Department Analyst 9-12 Performance Consultant position at the State of Michigan functions as a senior-level process reengineering facilitator within the Office of Process Reengineering and Optimization (PRO) in the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). This role involves developing and delivering process improvement initiatives, performance analysis, meeting facilitation, and strategic planning efforts, particularly for various commissions and services bureaus within LARA. Responsibilities • Facilitate process reengineering and optimization efforts within LARA. • Develop and deliver process improvement and performance analysis initiatives. • Coordinate and expedite work projects effectively. • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Facilitate meetings and large work groups to drive performance improvement. • Apply lean/continuous improvement principles in project execution. Requirements • Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. • Departmental Analyst 9: No specific experience required. • Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience required. • Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year at the intermediate (10) level in state service. • Departmental Analyst 12: Three years of professional experience, including one year at the experienced (P11) level in state service. • Certified Facilitator in the State of Michigan's Lean Process Improvement Methodology preferred.
