Job Title: Database Architect 3 Location: Austin, TX Duration: 8 Months Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days remote / 3 days onsite – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) Position Overview The Database Architect 3 / Senior Data Architect & Analytics Lead will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-level data architecture and analytics solutions. This role requires deep expertise in relational databases, data warehousing, cloud platforms, and advanced analytics to support strategic decision-making and enterprise data initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions while ensuring compliance with enterprise data standards and accessibility requirements. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain relational databases, data warehouses, and multidimensional databases • Define strategies for data acquisition, archival, recovery, and implementation • Clean and maintain databases by managing data retention and removing obsolete data • Develop enterprise data standards to optimize organizational strategic goals • Create and maintain centralized metadata repositories and data registries • Design and implement robust data models and table structures to support analytics initiatives • Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to deliver actionable insights • Ensure all database administration interfaces, reports, and user-facing components comply with EIR accessibility standards and assistive technologies • Lead and manage advanced analytics projects from design through implementation • Collaborate with data engineers, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure seamless data accessibility and usability • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies including AI, machine learning, and big data analytics • Provide thought leadership on data architecture, modeling, and governance best practices • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences Required Skills & Experience • 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing (on-prem and cloud) • 10+ years of experience with business intelligence and big data solutions • 10+ years of experience leading and managing advanced analytics projects • 10+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform • 10+ years of experience developing, deploying, and managing cloud-based applications and data storage • Strong expertise in enterprise data architecture principles and best practices • Advanced proficiency in SQL and database technologies • Experience with advanced analytics tools, frameworks, and strategies • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex, multi-stream projects • Experience with cloud infrastructure management, including security, deployment, and storage best practices • Experience developing and maintaining enterprise data models, data warehouses, and data lakes • Experience with ETL tools, data integration platforms, and APIs • Experience architecting and designing ETL pipelines using Informatica • Experience designing cloud-based data architecture using Snowflake as the primary data platform • Experience with EHR integration, APIs, and real-time data streaming • Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR, CCDA, and HL7 Preferred Qualifications • Experience implementing and deploying big data applications • Hands-on expertise with Python and/or Java/Scala • Experience with Enterprise Architecture practices and hybrid cloud/on-prem-to-cloud migration strategies • Healthcare industry experience • Strong understanding of information management principles, SDLC, and enterprise IT processes • Consulting and facilitation skills • Strong customer-focused communication across all organizational levels • Proactive leadership style with strong attention to detail • TOGAF or Cloud Solution Architecture certification (Azure, AWS, or GCP) • Experience with Texas or other state eligibility systems Apply tot his job
