Data Platforms Developer I
PacificSource Health Plans is seeking a Data Platforms Developer I to help members access quality, affordable care. The role involves designing and developing data models, ETL processes, and maintaining data quality while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities Design dimensional data models using Kimball data warehouse design techniques Develop ETL/ELT processes using Python and SQL on our Databricks data lake house platform Design, implement and maintain multi-dimensional models or “Cubes” to meet specific business requirements Participate in on-call rotation in support of the ETL/ELT nightly schedule Periodically, develop standardized parameterized reports using Microsoft SQL Reporting Services from multiple data sources Actively participate in the data quality improvement process by making recommendations to simplify data structures and improve information quality Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues, data inconsistencies, scheduling, query performance Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information Perform other duties as assigned Skills Relevant real-world experience in software development and analysis, preferably in a business environment BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree, licensure, or experience Design dimensional data models using Kimball data warehouse design techniques Develop ETL/ELT processes using Python and SQL on our Databricks data lake house platform Design, implement and maintain multi-dimensional models or 'Cubes' to meet specific business requirements Participate in on-call rotation in support of the ETL/ELT nightly schedule Periodically, develop standardized parameterized reports using Microsoft SQL Reporting Services from multiple data sources Actively participate in the data quality improvement process by making recommendations to simplify data structures and improve information quality Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues, data inconsistencies, scheduling, query performance Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information Additional desired experience includes TriZetto Facets, Dynamics CRM, technical integration and implementation, database administration, EDI (ANSI x12 formats), FHIR, dashboard development, project management experience, and integration of enterprise-wide applications Programming in VB.NET, ASP.NET, C# Advanced experience with databases, Informatica and SQL stored procedures Primary technologies/knowledge: Databricks, Python / T-SQL, Microsoft Master Data Services, Informatica MDM, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services/BI DS, Microsoft SQL Analysis Services/BI DS, Tableau Company Overview Founded in 1933, PacificSource is a not-for-profit health insurer for people and organizations throughout the Northwest.
