Data Analyst and Researcher wanted
We’re looking for a strong market researcher and data analyst to conduct deep-dive research across 9 maritime industry segments. The goal is to build a detailed view of each segment, including total addressable market (TAM), number of operators, vessel counts, segment size, and key insights. If the work is high quality, we will extend this to another 12–15 segments. You can use AI tools (ChatGPT, DeepSeek etc.), but all findings must be accurate, sourced, and supported by real data. Data scraping from public sources is required. What’s needed for each segment: Clear definition of the segment Estimated number of operators and vessels (by region if possible) TAM/SAM estimates with explanation of assumptions Data scraping from directories, associations, and public datasets A clean spreadsheet with all findings (Google Sheets/Excel) A brief written summary with sources listed Deliverables: One master spreadsheet with 9 tabs (one per segment) A short summary report (5–10 pages total) A source/reference list Ideal freelancer: Proven experience in market research + data analysis Comfortable with data scraping tools (Python/R/Apify/etc.) Able to produce clean, reliable datasets Experience in maritime/logistics is a bonus To apply, please include: An example of similar research you’ve done Your approach in 4–6 bullet points Your timeline and rate (fixed or hourly) Looking forward to working with you!
