As a Cyber Security Intern, you will be working on real-world projects, collaborating with experienced professionals, and gaining hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity. Internship Overview As a Cyber Security Intern with Workwarp, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, develop your skills, and gain valuable experience in the field of cybersecurity. The internship program will run for 11 weeks, from May 12 to July 25, 2025, and will be primarily remote, with the possibility of traveling to our corporate office in Atlanta for up to 3 weeks during the program. Travel expenses will be covered for eligible interns. Key Responsibilities As a Cyber Security Intern, your key responsibilities will include: Deploying various technologies to establish data privacy and security controls Helping to improve application security Managing system and software vulnerabilities Establishing methods for securing connected or "smart" devices Developing advanced cyber monitoring and security analytics solutions Establishing cyber crisis management capabilities Designing and delivering business-focused cyber wargames to prepare our clients with advanced techniques for responding to continually evolving cyber-attacks Providing cyber forensics and incident response support What Makes a Great Intern At Workwarp, we're looking for interns who are: Action-Oriented : Able to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm Able to Manage Ambiguity : Effective in navigating and thriving in uncertain situations while using sound judgment to make decisions without having the full picture Collaborative : Able to contribute to the group's efforts and step forward to help as needed, while seeking input from others Nimble Learner : Able to actively learn through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder Effective Communicator : Able to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences Customer-Focused : Able to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions Results-Driven : Able to evaluate information to make logical decisions and achieve results despite potential challenges or setbacks Essential Qualifications To be considered for this internship, you should be: Pursuing a Bachelor of Science/Business Administration with a concentration in Cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, information security, math, decision sciences, risk management, engineering, or other business/technology disciplines Preferred Qualifications We prefer candidates who: Are currently pursuing a relevant degree Have 0-1 years of relevant work experience Have an interest in working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team of engineers Have general knowledge of security fundamentals Have a solid understanding of Internet fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP) Are familiar with and have some ability to code Have a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you should possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and technologies Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we're committed to helping our interns grow and develop their skills.
