The Opportunity As a Customer Services Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for our students, faculty, staff, parents, and guests. You'll take pride in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining the highest standards of excellence, and contributing to a positive and friendly work environment. Key Responsibilities Provide top-notch customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external customers, meeting their needs, offering options, resolving problems, and following up to ensure satisfaction. Identify and prioritize problems and issues related to our service area, performing research, offering solutions, and referring to the appropriate person or department as needed. Train, schedule, assign, and prioritize workloads, ensuring timely completion of departmental tasks and interpreting operating policies and procedures. Perform daily inspections of vehicle gates at university-owned properties, conducting preventive maintenance and minor repairs as required. Pick up income at pay stations and parking meters, download audit reports, and repair equipment if necessary. Meet with vendors for major repairs, repair and install signage, paint and remove graffiti, and check gate entrances for supplies. Provide university village coverage, assist with mobile duties, and support special events. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing needs. The Ideal Candidate To succeed in this role, you'll need: Essential Qualifications A High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced customer service environment. Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English. A valid CA driver's license, with participation in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System. A strong commitment to blithequark's Unifying Values, demonstrated through ideas, words, and actions. Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree. 2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment. Ability to oversee student, temporary, and/or resource workers. Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Hands-on experience with technology.
