About the Role As a Customer Service and Billing Associate at blithequark, you'll be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing them with accurate and timely information about their freight. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, processing freight bills, tracking shipments, and resolving customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. Key Responsibilities Accurately prepare assigned billing, including receiving and inputting data, and processing paperwork related to invoices, delivery receipts, manifests, damages, shortages, refusals, and bills of lading. Assist customers via phone and email, providing information regarding their freight, tracing and researching freight status, marking bills, answering questions, and obtaining corrections or re-rates. Provide updates or reports as needed, and sort and distribute paperwork within the office. Consistently follow all safety procedures and assist in general clerical duties, including copying, faxing, imaging/scanning, filing, and answering incoming phone calls. Collaborate with coworkers and other departments as requested, demonstrating a flexible and team-oriented approach. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A High School diploma (or equivalent) or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary qualifications to perform the duties of the position successfully. One to two years of general office experience, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Hazardous Materials certification within one year of hire (we'll support your training and development). Transportation or freight experience is highly desirable, but not essential - we're committed to training the right candidate.
