About the position The Credit Risk Manager for First Party Fraud & Credit Abuse is responsible for managing the creation, implementation, and validation of various risk segmentation strategies. This role focuses on adjudication, account management, exposure management, and financial return optimization, ensuring that decisions align with TD's risk appetite and comply with regulatory requirements. The position involves analyzing complex data to develop strategies that mitigate fraud risks and enhance credit management for Consumer Unsecured Lending & Strategic Card portfolios. Responsibilities • Manage the creation, implementation, and validation of risk segmentation strategies. • Provide critical information and detailed analysis to support credit risk strategies. • Investigate and implement First Party Fraud & Credit Abuse strategies using internal and external data. • Conduct cohort time series analysis of fraud and other metrics to optimize performance indicators. • Review fraud attacks and emerging threats to address coverage gaps in strategies and policies. • Work cross-functionally with teams outside of risk management to enhance credit risk assessment capabilities. • Create reports on implemented strategies and make recommendations to increase efficiencies and revenue. • Ensure compliance with documentation requirements for Internal Audit and External Regulators. Requirements • Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred. • 5+ years of experience in credit risk management or related field. • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and various analytical software packages. • Experience with Relational Databases and ETL processes using SQL or SAS. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data and draw conclusions. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice-to-haves • Experience in First Party Fraud or credit risk management within the credit card sector. • Understanding of payment risk and fraud life cycle management. • Extensive experience with analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, Python, R, MATLAB, Tableau. • Knowledge of empirical scoring systems like CHAID and FICO Model Builder. • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills to identify patterns and trends.
