Credit Portfolio Senior Group Manager
About the position Responsibilities • Review and challenge credit requests, making final decisions on credit extensions for commercial banking customers. • Serve as an Independent Risk Approver for regulatory safety and soundness compliance. • Provide credible challenge for credit proposals and offer solutions for proper credit structures. • Collaborate with various departments to achieve business objectives and manage risk. • Provide approval on a wide range of credit products and types of financings. • Identify trends and risks in the credit portfolio based on underwriting standards and risk appetite. Requirements • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field and 6 years of experience in credit risk management. • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in the stated fields and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. • Experience in challenging, reviewing, and approving credit requests. • Knowledge of credit portfolio and lifecycle management, including underwriting standards and risk rating methodologies. • Experience with commercial lending products and derivatives. • Ability to handle complex credit requests and develop alternative solutions. • Strong risk assessment skills, including problem recognition and structuring solutions for credit-related issues. • Familiarity with regulations, policy, credit processes, and collection strategies applicable to delinquency-managed credit activities.
