About the position The Course Developer for Naropa University's Title III Grant project will design an online undergraduate course titled 'Religion and Psychedelics' for the Fall 2025 semester. This role involves creating a comprehensive online course structure, collaborating with instructional designers, and ensuring the course meets educational standards and accessibility requirements. The position is remote and part-time, with a stipend of $5,000 paid over the development period from January to May 2025. Responsibilities • Create an asynchronous online course development plan with a maximum of eight modules. • Generate online content, including recorded lectures, practice sessions, and experiential learning activities, in conjunction with Ellucian Learning Experience Designers. • Create the online course in Canvas, ensuring ADA compliance and incorporating best practices for online education. • Meet incremental deadlines to ensure timely completion of the course development. • Maintain a positive team environment and behave professionally with all stakeholders. Requirements • Doctoral degree in Religious Studies, Anthropology, or related fields (preferred). • 2 years of teaching experience. • Experience developing online learning experiences and/or teaching online. • Understanding of or experience with contemplative pedagogy.
