About the Role: The Corporate Tax Manager will report directly to the Vice President - Tax. The tax manager will provide support in all areas of income tax provision and compliance. Key partners include outside tax advisors and the OLAPLEX accounting team. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740, including related disclosures for SEC reporting • Develop, support, and maintain the Companys uncertain tax positions • Prepare tax-related journal entries and tax accounts reconciliations • Responsible for all income tax compliance matters, including reviewing of Federal and State tax returns and managing tax notices and tax audits • Prepare and file state franchise tax and gross-receipts tax returns • Work effectively with other departments of corporate finance and compile data required for tax computations and filings • Research and develop tax positions and draft memorandums for tax issues as they arise • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process • Monitor tax and accounting rules related to domestic and international topics and provide insight as to the potential impact on the company • Research, monitor, and analyze existing and proposed key tax legislation • Assist with transfer pricing documentation • Respond to ad-hoc requests from internal and external business partners and taxing authorities • Stay current on the latest technology developments to improve and automate tax processes About You: • Bachelors degree in accounting or taxation • Minimum five years of directly related corporate income tax provision and compliance experience in public accounting or with a multinational entity • Advanced knowledge of ASC740 and research abilities with effective communication skills • Excellent knowledge of US federal and state corporate income tax laws and regulations • Excellent attention to detail and ability to highlight unexpected results • Strong verbal, written, computer, interpersonal, analytical, and technical communication and presentation skills, including MS Office proficiency • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively within firm timelines We'd love to have you apply, even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement.
